About me

L'Allemand Ensemble - Claudine Julien

I was born in the Paris region and I have always had a real passion for languages.

I learned Latin, German, and English. But it was German that mattered most to me, because I was already planning to live in Germany.

I first worked as a French teacher at the Berlitz / Inlingua Institute in Hamburg, then as an editor for German magazines — writing, of course, in German.

After ten years in Germany, I returned to France and offered private German lessons. I have remained very close to my German friends, and we continue to visit each other regularly.

I also taught German to small groups of different levels at the Centre Culturel de Vence for five years. I deeply enjoy meeting people from varied backgrounds and sharing my passion for the language and culture.

Since 2025, I have been living in Douarnenez, on the Atlantic coast in Brittany.

In my free time, I read a great deal, go to the movies, practice yoga, and enjoy the magnificent wild nature of Brittany — whether by walking along the seashore or exploring the countryside.
